We are a fantasy wolf roleplay centered around three warring Kingdoms and the wolves that call them home. The wolf's ancestors; the Kingdom of Stars, are directly linked to the living wolves. They give Alphas the strength to lead for moons past what would have been their prime, and the Corvidae the ability to heal their fellow packmates through prayer. We are semi-literate, only requiring 150 words per post at a minimum! Please check out our Laws of the Land board for more information, and join us on DISCORD to get to know us better!
3.25.2019 UPDATE HERE! It's officially been a week since opening! We have added a Pup Prediction System, a Fighting System, as well as a huge update to our Shop! Congratulations to Rosa on Global Moderator, and Tali on Pup Predictor!

A lanky black and gray she-wolf with pale gold eyes.

Like many of her Kingdom, Snapdragon is not one of the massive wolves that lumbers through the mountains or countryside. In fact, she's quote the opposite; a narrow frame and long, lanky limbs make up a physique that is anything but intimidating in terms of size. Still, she uses this to her advantage.
What she doesn't have in bulk or physical strength she makes up for in speed. Her coat hides well-toned muscles that have been well-oiled for both fleeing and giving chase. Thin yet quick limbs aid her in these tactics, causing the she-wolf to prefer weaving in and out of the trees in deadly pursuit of prey or invaders rather than face any danger head on.
Her pelt does help some, however. As it is rather thick, dark fur, it gives the illusion of her being much larger than she actually is. The pelt itself is rather rough rather than glossy, a result of eating small rodents and mammals for the majority of her life. Though her base color is black, the fur has a dusting of gray as well, mostly along her flanks, hindquarters, and limbs. As she grows older the gray is starting to spread, covering parts of her spine and the thickest fur around her neck.
Her eyes, set in a wide, rounded face, are a light gold.

Adventurous ― Comedic― Impulsive
There are some that would say Snapdragon never aged past the moons of a pup. Known more for her playful outlook on life than the typical serious nature of a Guardian, it's not too much of a stretch to imagine this wolf prefers playing in the sunshine or fallen leaves in hard times rather than working like she should. However, this is not the case; she is a loyal lass, just sees life as something to enjoy rather than a brutal struggle. However, it does lend itself to making her a rather bold and adventurous type. The firs to volunteer for patrols and exploring new territory/threads, the last one in the den at night when there's interesting gossip or tales to be told. Snapdragon is not one to shy away from danger, even if she has to turn tail and outrun it most of the time. Luckily, she can joke about this, even her size, so it doesn't seem to bother her too much as long as she gets a good story out of it.
These stories are usually vibrant, loud, and accompanied by a wide array of faces from Snapdragon. This is typically the first sign that her love of humor is deciding to rear its head. Often telling jokes and doing her best to keep others cheery, the Guardian is often seen as one of the more amusing of the Kingdom. While at times this is good, there are downsides. After all, sometimes a joke can go too far, and feelings can be hurt. She does her best not to allow this to happen and has become better with age at recognizing when it is an appropriate time to joke, but sometimes she still misses her mark. One part of her trait that can be rather unsavory is her tendency to use this comedy around their enemies in the form of taunts. While it is an effective form of distraction, it may come back to bite her one day - literally.
This leads to the last and possibly more damaging trait of all that she possesses. Her natural inclination is to be impulsive. Not looking before she leaps, making split second decisions based on gut feelings, trusting in herself (sometimes over her Alpha's word)...All these things can lead to disaster, and have in the past. She's the type to "act first, apologize later" rather than "be cautious and ask permission". Luckily her friends can temper this somewhat, but there's only so much that you can douse a flame.

Pup
Snapdragon's tale begins much as many pups in Sacredwood do. She was born to a healthy litter, a blessed litter. One watched over by the stars, some would say. With three healthy pups and a strong mother who more than survived their birth but rather thrived as a Denmother, it seemed as if this trio had been a gift to the stalwart Kingdom. Named Rainstorm, Snapdragon, and Smoke, they happily bumbled around the Boneweaver's den until it came time for them to explore the outdoors.
To say they were captivated would be an understatement. The girls often stayed up late to watch the patrols and tried to sneak into the meetings even though they weren't old enough. It was common knowledge that this litter was trouble, and it should've been taken as a warning when, finally filled on stories of their ancestors, they aged into Greenhorns.
Greenhorn
Now, Snapdragon's time as a Greenhorn is where things got a little complicated in her life. While she and her sisters were in the nursery, they weren't the only pups running about. There were others, of course, and some that happened to be the same age as them. As Greenhorns, it soon became apparent that a couple in particular would be problematic should they be asked to trained together, live together, or, in some extreme cases, even associate. Vervain, another of the pack's youngest members, seemed to be the complete opposite if Snapdragon. She was calm where Snapdragon was not, religious where she was questioning. Firm and disapproving where the black she-wolf was forgiving and carefree. The two, personalities rubbing each other the wrong way like fur on a tree, constantly seemed to compete. In fact it drove Snapdragon's two sisters to slightly distance themselves out of caution. Still, it caused the young she-wolf to train harder and longer, if more recklessly.
Which came to a head when one day, the she-wolf got it in her head that it'd be a good idea to venture out to their border to try and challenge a Guardian from another Kingdom. Perhaps if they (a group of experienced greenhorns) could prove themselves by defeating another Kingdom's fighter, they would be made into Guardians themselves.
This plan, of course, backfired, as Guardians don't travel alone. Just when they were about to be caught by a patrol of three much larger, much better trained wolves, a familiar scent distracted them. Under the cover of their savior, the Greenhorns slipped away, tails and courage low.
Much to Snapdragon's surprise, the wolf who had helped them was none other than Vervain. Who, of course, had no trouble snarling her ear off for her decision the entire way home. Still, to Snapdragon's surprise, they were not turned in. Instead, they were told off by Vervain's Guardian, and that was the end of that.
Though the stinging rebuttal from both would echo in her mind for moons, Snapdragon seemed to take the advice to heart, settling into her training with renewed focus - And, significantly, much less hostility towards her fellow she-wolf.
Guardian
Now a few moons into her Guardian status, Snapdragon has started to lose some of her more...questionable traits and decision-making processes. However, they still rear their heads sometimes, but are more often than not stopped or questioned by Vervain - Rivals turned friends, of a sort, though Snapdragon isn't above dragging them both into a little trouble now and then. Only time will tell if this balance holds while the Kingdoms wage war.
