Like many of her packmates, Vervain is built for weaving in and out of the trees they call home with ease. Light on her long legs, and graced with a slender frame, she almost floats through the forest as she runs between the many obstacles. Her facial features are rather slender and her ears are high and pointed, adding to her feminity. Vervain's pelt is an even mixture of greys and creams. The grey starts on her forehead and blazes its way down her back and dips down her shoulders, ending halfway down her tail. The rest of her thick fur is a mixture of light and warm creams. The only true brown or red she has in her pelt is the back of her ears, that look as if they've been tanned by the sun. Her nose, paw pads, and claws stand out in sharp contrast to the creams in solid black, with her claws being fairly long from being pampered by the soft forest floor. Vervain's eyes are hazel, yet in some lights can look almost golden, and are often rounded in kindness.

Vervain is the kind of wolf you would introduce your mother to. She is responsible, taking due care to assess the risks and benefits of situations and decisions before executing them. Always, she is considering what her actions might result in, and how those results will affect those around her. This she-wolf regards the Laws of the Land almost reverently, yet is willing to break them if it gets in the way of her protecting those who are close to her - especially her packmates. At a young age, she took to the stories that the Boneweavers would tell her like a squirrel to an oak tree - not able to get enough of the rich history that their Kingdom had. At an early age, she began to view the Kingdom of Stars as a benevolent force that only wanted the best for the wolves still living. She believes that the Kingdom of Stars has a paw in all things and that without them they would honestly be lost. Once Vervain's head is set on something, she is as stubborn as a mule. She will not change her mind nor back down without a fight, and as such it has led to her getting into more than one scuffle over her being wrong - when she knew she was right. This includes her willingness to follow orders, often getting her mind set on something that conflicts with an order she was given - yet she knows the word of Alpha is Law, she just isn't happy about it. All in all, Vervain is a kind, caring, and responsible wolf with a love for the Kingdom of Stars that few can compete with, and stubbornness to support it.

Born to a bustling Storyweaver den full of pups, Vervain was the only pup of Marigold and Rowan, a pair of Guardians who had served their Kingdom for many moons before deciding to settle down and begin their family. Her father was a hardened warrior, who had been through many a fight, yet he was gentle and kind with his one and only pup, cherishing her. Her mother was similarly kind and caring, yet fiercely protective of her only pup. She instilled in Vervain the responsibility that she viewed so highly herself, wanting her pup to know right from wrong, very clearly.

Yet, Vervain didn't quite get along with the other pups in the den, a litter of three she-wolves. While she tried to make friends with them - they were bigger, more rough and tumble, and she was far more the type to want to stay in and listen to the Boneweaver stories. So, she did. She spent all her days listening to the stories of her elders, and thrived off of their expansive knowledge of the Kingdom and of the Kingdom of Stars. It was there, between the paws of her father while listening to the grand stories of the Kingdom of Stars, that she fell in love with them, and decided to one day be one of the greats that roamed the fields of the Kingdom of Stars, like the wolf Autumn, who founded them.


Vervain joined the ranks of Greenhorn alongside her Storyweaver denmates when she came of age, and she couldn't wait to begin her training and get out of the cramped Storyweaver den and into the far more spacious joint Greenhorn and Guardian den. Yet, she was in for a rude awakening. The annoyance as pups that she thought would dissolve when they became Greenhorns, only thickened as they became Greenhorns. In particular, the almost all-black she-wolf named Snapdragon proved to be the most tiresome. They never agreed on anything, and were constantly vying to prove the other one wrong, or to prove that they were better than one another.

To say it was a rivalry was an understatement. But at the end of the day - they were still her packmates, so when the three sisters decided to do something foolish, she was there to make sure they didn't accidentally kill themselves. She could tell they were up to something sinister, the three of them hackling like hyenas - so she followed them through the forest, and found them at the border of another Kingdom, looking to start a fight.

Luckily, she got there in time, and had seen the patrol approaching with enough time to pull the sisters away before a fight could break out. By the Stars, she was angry. She nearly chewed Snapdragon's ear off for putting her sisters in danger, they could have been killed! Unfortunately, she was grilled by her mentor - who immediately guessed what had happened. Although she told him what had happened, she pleaded with him not to out her fellow Greenhorns to the Beta or to the Alpha - and to her surprise, he didn't. She supposed that them almost losing their lives was punishment enough.

After that, things changed. No longer were they at each other's throats - it seemed that she had finally gained the respect that she had sought after for moons, and for once - she relaxed. No longer was she always on edge and defensive, she began to relax into herself and into the routine of learning under her mentor's tutelage. 


Vervain is now a few moons into her Guardianship, and is relaxing into the role quite well. Where she was a hyper-paranoid Greenhorn, she is now a responsible Guardian, with wisdom beyond her moons. However, she still has her stubborn moments where she refuses to budge, and her newly acquired friend Snapdragon is quick to remind her not to be so bullheaded, and to lighten up a bit. Slowly but surely, she is proving herself worthy of her title and of her Kingdom.

Recently, she has been blessed by the Stars with a Greenhorn of her own, a young feisty she-wolf by the name of Nebula. Only time will tell if her mellow personality will slow down the young wolfs ambition.
