Welcome to the first-ever Spring Festival on A Falling Star! We are hosting a multitude of events over the course of the next month to finish off Spring and bring us into Summer. Contests, drawings, races, you name it - we’ve got it! We are starting off the event with the introduction of our first ever site-wide plot - Omen in the Sky. Each of the Kingdom’s Corvidae have been given a message from the Kingdom of Stars - the Kingdoms must bring about peace or face certain doom, but the War has been raging for generations. Will the Corvidae be able to talk sense into their Alphas, or will the Kingdoms have to face the doom that the Stars predict alone. We can’t wait to find out! Below is a list of just a few of the bonuses and events that we will be having over the course of the next month.
First to WIN or LOSE a spar using our dice-rolling system will receive a prize!
Character Acceptance Bonus - Be entered in a drawing to win a FREE companion!

We are a fantasy wolf roleplay centered around three warring Kingdoms and the wolves that call them home. The wolf's ancestors; the Kingdom of Stars, are directly linked to the living wolves. They give Alphas the strength to lead for moons past what would have been their prime, and the Corvidae the ability to heal their fellow packmates through prayer. We are semi-literate, only requiring 150 words per post at a minimum! Please check out our Laws of the Land board for more information, and join us on DISCORD to get to know us better!
3.25.2019 UPDATE HERE! It's officially been a week since opening! We have added a Pup Prediction System, a Fighting System, as well as a huge update to our Shop! Congratulations to Rosa on Global Moderator, and Tali on Pup Predictor!
3.17.2019 A Falling Star has officially open! We are now accepting applications for all higher ranks, as well as applications for staff! Thank you for joining us!
3.15.2019 - The flowers are blooming, and the prey is running plentiful. Afternoon showers are a frequent occurance across the land, and many newborns are being welcomed into the world after a particularly harsh winter. Major storms seem to be holding back until the Summer, yet the river still runs swiftly.

3.22.2019 - The Corvidae for the Kingdom of Astralridge passed away without a Greenhorn to take his place. How will they cope?
It was an exhausted Snapdragon that rose this particular morning, sneezing at a piece of moss that had flopped onto her nose during what had been a very restless night's sleep. Last night's ceremony and subsequent feast on the newly-fed prey of the first days of spring had made for an atmosphere that was hard to ignore. Besides, as one being congratulated on this first step towards a new level of Guardianship, it was only right for her to partake!
The night afterwards hadn't been much better. She had tossed and turned in that dark den much to the annoyance of some of the older Guardians in the center. Despite their grumblings and glares in the dim light from their combined bubble of warmth that she wouldn't feel on the edges of the area, she'd continued to burrow to and fro in attempts to chase the tail of sleep. It'd been like hunting rabbits, however; darting to and fro and never getting closer. But could she really help it? She was excited, after all.
Her first Greenhorn. She'd been entrusted with the training of one of the Pack's young ones, and she could still feel the warmth of satisfaction burning in her chest just as she had when their names were announced. But the dark had brought on a new thing alongside her pride - anxiousness. Could she do this? Was she able to pass on her skills? She was hardly the most qualified; barely a Guardian herself, some would mutter. But Vervain had been given one and they were the same age! So if she could do it, couldn't Snapdragon?
...Even if she had to ignore the small voice in the back of her head telling her that the other she-wolf was much more qualified what with her skills and her mannerisms and how she held herself an-
Not that it mattered. It was no use dwelling on the what-ifs and could've beens. The deed was done, and the morning of their first steps together down a new trail had dawned.
Making her way to the entrance, weaving in and out of mossy nests and leaving behind a mess of her own as the only visual representation of how her night had actually gone, the shel-wolf impatiently paced the ground once outside for just a few heartbeats. Just long enough to steady her breathing and settle her nerves, forcing herself to recall her own Greenhorn days as she tried to plan for what they could encounter in their territory. The other Kingdoms were threats, to be sure. A constant storm on the horizon, kept back only by scent lines that Laws alone kept them from stepping across to wage war directly. Blaze, the one in her care, was young. It wouldn't do to take him along the lines and risk running into a patrol of the other Kingdoms. Still, he needed to know the borders, and wasn't that important? More important than prey though?
Oh, she should've asked Vervain what she'd done. She was sure the she-wolf had told her but in her nervous state she'd forgotten. Too late now. Snapdragon was on her own for this one.
Stars above help me guide him well! Forcing her fur to lay flat along her ruff and neck, the dark-furred Guardian turned back towards the entrance of the den and sat, waiting for the young male to appear as she tried to focus her energy on the excitement that had pounded through her blood only hours ago. Fixing a slight smile on her muzzle, she glanced back at the den once more, shuffling her paws impatiently. Hopefully he wouldn't sleep too much of the sun away, or she'd have to come in after him. What a first day that would be.
Though perhaps that would give her an edge. Give her the reputation that she was not a Guardian to be crossed. Only a moment after the thought surfaced she shook her head with a snort, laughing at herself. No, that wouldn't do. He didn't need that, and neither did she. They'd be just fine together without him fearing her disapproving snarls every time he made a move.
They could make this work. They would make this work.
Blaze had just opened his eyes when he remembered that he was a greenhorn, and today... gripped quite suddenly by a rush of sheer excitement that he could no longer lie still, the young male pushed himself to his paws and darted forward out of the den, the sun in his eyes blinding him a moment so that he only just saw Snapdragon and skidded to a halt to keep from running straight into her.
"Sorry!" he chirped, and tipped his head back with a rapid wag of his tail as he gazed at her. "Morning, Snapdragon. Were you waiting for me? Are we gonna train? I'm ready!" More than ready; he could hardly wait to begin. Paws shuffled on the ground, unable to hold still as he stared, tightly wound with pent-up energy that threatened to send him hurtling out of the sanctuary if Snapdragon didn't make a move soon.
It seemed she wouldn't have to wait long at all, if the pounding of paws headed her way meant anything. Ears pricking with curiosity, the older wolf had to remind herself not to get too worked up herself as the sudden appearance of the still puppy-soft Blaze blew out of the entrance like his tail was on fire. She leapt to her paws, slightly alarmed and utterly amused, as his skid brought him nearly close enough to topple directly into her. Well! There was always something to be said for enthusiasm.
She was already having to hold back a chuckle at his first impression; dust and dirt spun through the air from his paws, his eyes bright and jaw working a mile an hour. Snapdragon knew some would be annoyed at the chatter this early in the morning but suddenly she couldn't bring herself to care all that much. Her nerves were still in place, yes, tightly winding in her paws as energy she would have to expel as they explored the territory. But it was difficult to remain worried in the face of such obvious eagerness.
Standing up and resisting the urge to wag her tail in return (You are a Guardian, Snapdragon, control yourself! She admonished, her inner voice sounding strangely like Vervain for a heartbeat.), the she-wolf gave a friendly laugh. "Don't apologize. It's good to see you eager. We have a long day ahead of us." That was for sure. If he was this happy now inside the camp borders, she couldn't imagine how he'd be when set off free in their land. She'd have to keep a close eye on him, especially during these first few days. "Don't worry, we are training. We'll eat later once we get freshkill for the pack. But first I have to show you the territory," She decided as she spoke, turning and motioning with a wave of her fluffy tail for the fresh Greenhorn to follow. "What do you know of the other Kingdoms?"
Far from being discouraged at Snapdragon's warning that they had a full day ahead of them, Blaze was more thrilled than ever. "Oh, yay!" he squeaked, and as she rose he bounced along at her heels. He wasn't hungry right now anyway, and he passed the few items of freshkill without a sniff; the thought of getting out, of seeing the territory and going farther than the protective walls of the sanctuary- it was too much to consider wasting a moment longer, even for something like food. If he'd been directed to eat he might have, but Snapdragon gave no such instruction.
"I'm ready!" he replied, prancing after her out of the sanctuary and instantly pulled a hundred different ways by scents and sights and sounds- those muffled once within the protective area by the flood of wolfish scents that overpowered everything else. Out here, though, they were fresh and so, so strong. If he'd been less overwhelmed, he would have been off like a shot; as it was, he was stuck in place, his head swiveling constantly, his nose twitching nonstop and his ears flicking every which way. Snapdragon's question went unanswered in the rush, hardly even heard as Blaze continued to take in everything around him all at once.
Unable to help herself now as a chuckle rose unbidden in her throat, the Guardian glanced back at the Greenhorn that seemed all too ready to leave camp. It was no wonder; he was young and, though may have been out before due to breaking the strict rules set by the Alphas of old, had been confined to the small borders for most if not all of his life. It was only natural for his excitement to be beyond his control.
It wasn't the best, however, considering her own was quickly mounting as she took in the possibilities ahead of them. With such an enthusiastic pup to lead, she could already see long training sessions punctuated not by reluctance but by enthusiasm and adventure. It wasn't at all what her worries had been whispering in her ear all night. Feeling her nerves melt away in the wake of her own eagerness rising back to boil just under her pelt, the black-furred wolf picked up the pace once they'd reached the edges of the sanctuary. "Now-" She began, but it seemed as if the she-wolf wouldn't have much a chance to say anything at first. Already his head was swiveling much like an owl's, muzzle so high in the air she suspected if it was raining he'd have more than just a noseful of scents to deal with.
For a moment the mentor just watched, amused, before flicking her tail against his flank to hopefully capture the young wolf's attention. "You still here?" She teased, subtly scenting the air herself for danger. The Kingdom of Stars was on their sides, bless them; she could smell no danger so close to camp, simply prey. Perhaps their day would go easily and not be full of the strife they faced everyday with war rumbling at their every border. Then again, maybe she should know better than to count her fish before she caught them; the winds of fate could change at any moment, leading them into chaos, and she wanted to know she could keep his attention long enough to warn him about that if nothing else. Wonderland though it may seem now, their territory had its dangers, and she feared he may run off blindly into them should he get too ahead of himself.
Now I know why my Guardian was always asleep on their paws.
