Welcome to the first-ever Spring Festival on A Falling Star! We are hosting a multitude of events over the course of the next month to finish off Spring and bring us into Summer. Contests, drawings, races, you name it - we’ve got it! We are starting off the event with the introduction of our first ever site-wide plot - Omen in the Sky. Each of the Kingdom’s Corvidae have been given a message from the Kingdom of Stars - the Kingdoms must bring about peace or face certain doom, but the War has been raging for generations. Will the Corvidae be able to talk sense into their Alphas, or will the Kingdoms have to face the doom that the Stars predict alone. We can’t wait to find out! Below is a list of just a few of the bonuses and events that we will be having over the course of the next month.
First to WIN or LOSE a spar using our dice-rolling system will receive a prize!
Character Acceptance Bonus - Be entered in a drawing to win a FREE companion!
Run for High Ranks and get free bones!
&& more!
We are a fantasy wolf roleplay centered around three warring Kingdoms and the wolves that call them home. The wolf's ancestors; the Kingdom of Stars, are directly linked to the living wolves. They give Alphas the strength to lead for moons past what would have been their prime, and the Corvidae the ability to heal their fellow packmates through prayer. We are semi-literate, only requiring 150 words per post at a minimum! Please check out our Laws of the Land board for more information, and join us on DISCORD to get to know us better!
3.25.2019 UPDATE HERE! It's officially been a week since opening! We have added a Pup Prediction System, a Fighting System, as well as a huge update to our Shop! Congratulations to Rosa on Global Moderator, and Tali on Pup Predictor!
3.17.2019 A Falling Star has officially open! We are now accepting applications for all higher ranks, as well as applications for staff! Thank you for joining us!
3.15.2019 - The flowers are blooming, and the prey is running plentiful. Afternoon showers are a frequent occurance across the land, and many newborns are being welcomed into the world after a particularly harsh winter. Major storms seem to be holding back until the Summer, yet the river still runs swiftly.

3.22.2019 - The Corvidae for the Kingdom of Astralridge passed away without a Greenhorn to take his place. How will they cope?
Nebula had decided to do some exploring today. There was no training she had to do with Vervain, so Nebula was free for now. The young and naive Sacredwood Greenhorn was wandering along the border of Sacredwood and Riverbloom. She didn't know that she was risking her life practically hanging around here. The Kingdoms were at war, but Nebula didn't really know...or understand that. She figured that not every wolf had to be enemies with each other. Well, at least Nebula. She was one for making friends, even out of Sacredwood. She just wanted place in this world, and she was upset by the fighting. Maybe that would be a good question to ask Vervain...why the Kingdoms were at each other's throats.
Nebula was sniffing around, trying to pick up any prey scent. She was hungry, and figured that there was food here...somewhere. Nebula was completely oblivious right now. She was paying no attention to any wolves that may be about to attack her. Nebula was brave, though. She was not a pup to be underestimated. She could put up a fight if needed. However, as Nebula was tracking prey, making sure to stay away from getting close to Riverbloom territory, she could kind of tell that something just wasn't right here.
It wasn't exactly a patrol he was on. Patrols were made of several wolves, heartbeats pounding as one as they ran along the war-torn borders. He, a solitary wolf, was nothing of the sort. There would be some who would say this was foolish; even at war the Kingdoms were well aware of each other's leaders within the vast ranks. They could pick each other's pelts out in a sea of fur, their snarl in a symphony of howls. He was, in short, much too recognizable to be wandering the valleys alone.
Yet...He was not too old to wander his land. Climbing through the vast fields and seas of grass, jagged shadow thrown upon stalks standing taller than his shoulder. He wanted to know what lay beyond the pawsteps of their predecessors, what juicy bounties the mountains and the forests had for them. He knew a few; how else was a young Greenhorn to gain merit if not through challenges the other Kingdoms wouldn't dream of trying to pull off? He'd tasted beaver and deer and goats and all manners of prey that should never have touched Riverbloom jaws. Had seen the mountain views and brushed along the corpses of trees. He was not afraid to see beyond his own boundaries, though perhaps wise enough now to not test it.
Instead he simply paused at the river to drink, dipping his muzzle to the cool surface. Just for a moment, however, as soon an unfamiliar scent had him yanking his head up. Sacredwood, and fresh. He tilted his head to the sky, sniffing deeply and not bothering to curb the growl in his throat. Nearby too, and young. His gaze dropped with a snort to the opposite riverbank, scanning along the edge with a mix of curiosity and suspicion. Not only young and close, but alone as well. His eyes narrowed; Sacredwoods wouldn't allow such a young pup to wander freely over their territory. Unless, of course, it was a trap. If it was, he could almost be impressed. But they wouldn't do such a thing.
Huffing, the Alpha straightened up and, not bothering to force the fur on his neck flat, just waited. Perhaps this strange would reveal themselves given time.
Not noticing that there was a Riverbloom wolf, and an Alpha, not far off, Nebula continued on with her prey-search. She eventually spotted a tree nearby, and there was a squirrel! Perfect! Nebula would be able to put what Vervain had taught her in action. Curiosity bubbling up in her as well as excitement, Nebula began to head on the tree. She was using the pose Vervain taught her to do, crouching. Nebula dug her claws in the bark and began climbing up the tree before managing to kill the squirrel soon later. She climbed back down the tree and looked around. This was when she started noticing that something wasn't exactly right. How come I didn't notice this earlier? Nebula wondered, silently scolding herself. Shrugging, Nebula took her freshly-caught catch and began chewing a bit. She was really hungry. Maybe Nebula would save the rest for later. She was still getting used to Kingdom tradition, so maybe she had accidentally ate food when she wasn't supposed to. Who knew?
Once Nebula ate only a bit from the squirrel, enough to kill off her hunger, she began to search. She was a bit wary, despite being normally a naive and friendly, curious wolf. "H...hello?" Nebula asked out. "...Anyone here?"
There. Blinking at the display of the young wolf, Rush found himself slightly amused. A young one, female, barely out of the Boneweaver's den by the looks of it. He could still see the soft pup fur along her legs even if the scent of her Denmother's milk had long since faded away. Small, underdeveloped...where was her Guardian?
Nowhere, by the looks of it, if the meal she proceeded to had said anything. Rush held in a snort of disbelief. Was Sacredwoods really this lax with their Greenhorns? The she-wolf hadn't even bothered to check the border before sinking her teeth into a meal she certainly hadn't earned if she was supposed to be patrolling. Still, eventually she would have to notice she was not alone in this stretch of land. Not that it would do her any good at this point.
A shame she hasn't trespassed. He thought idly, one ear twisting to listen behind him. Nothing. No one. If they kept to Riverbloom's schedule, no patrol would set paw here for some time. Enough time, at least, for him to get some answers out of the seemingly unwary pup. If she were to step paw over their land, well...He wasn't cruel. Perhaps they were at war. But this was a Greenhorn, and a newer one at that. Barely even trained. Or perhaps just disobedient. Either way, close enough to that moons of a pup that the Laws of the Land would stay his paw.
Now though his eyes lit with interest at her words, he fighting a chuckle. Now, this...this was too much. "Were you of Riverbloom, you would've already known I was here." His dry response sounded lazy, bored even. Even if the Laws stood (and he, Rush, would obey some), there was no law against getting information for your own Kingdom. Nothing specific, anyway.
We are now Officially Open! Apply for staff posiitons and high ranks today!
