Welcome to the first-ever Spring Festival on A Falling Star! We are hosting a multitude of events over the course of the next month to finish off Spring and bring us into Summer. Contests, drawings, races, you name it - we’ve got it! We are starting off the event with the introduction of our first ever site-wide plot - Omen in the Sky. Each of the Kingdom’s Corvidae have been given a message from the Kingdom of Stars - the Kingdoms must bring about peace or face certain doom, but the War has been raging for generations. Will the Corvidae be able to talk sense into their Alphas, or will the Kingdoms have to face the doom that the Stars predict alone. We can’t wait to find out! Below is a list of just a few of the bonuses and events that we will be having over the course of the next month.
First to WIN or LOSE a spar using our dice-rolling system will receive a prize!

We are a fantasy wolf roleplay centered around three warring Kingdoms and the wolves that call them home. The wolf's ancestors; the Kingdom of Stars, are directly linked to the living wolves. They give Alphas the strength to lead for moons past what would have been their prime, and the Corvidae the ability to heal their fellow packmates through prayer. We are semi-literate, only requiring 150 words per post at a minimum! Please check out our Laws of the Land board for more information, and join us on DISCORD to get to know us better!
3.25.2019 UPDATE HERE! It's officially been a week since opening! We have added a Pup Prediction System, a Fighting System, as well as a huge update to our Shop! Congratulations to Rosa on Global Moderator, and Tali on Pup Predictor!
3.17.2019 A Falling Star has officially open! We are now accepting applications for all higher ranks, as well as applications for staff! Thank you for joining us!

3.22.2019 - The Corvidae for the Kingdom of Astralridge passed away without a Greenhorn to take his place. How will they cope?
Despite the flowery connotations of her name, Dianthus embraces its nature with pleasure. Regality.
A regal figure of shadows and dried blood, Dianthus balances a thin line of pitiful and imposing. She is tall, with thin, stilt like legs and a narrow frame. Her ears lift from her narrow skull, as her cheeks bring forth fur that falls in the same shade as her coat. Power dances in lithe muscles under her pelt, rippling with her movements. Dianthus moves with the grace of a dancer, but her narrow frame and quick feet mean she's not exactly the type to mow into a target and take them down. Instead, she dances just out of their reach until they get frustrated. Then, and only then, does she strike with brutal force. She is still a wolf after all, and her kind are known for the stout jaws they sport.
Her coat is another matter. Dark fur splatters her body, curling across her and lightening on her legs. Blood red ripples from the back of her head down her neck, resembling the flayed neck of prey. The corividae are quick to remind her of this fact, but it's a fact she wears with pride. Despite it being a grave omen to some, Dianthus sees it as intimidation. A way to make her enemies kneel before her in a way she is almost desperate for. Her eyes are a bright orange, staring out from her narrow face.
→ personality ←
Loyal ― Blunt ― Easily angered
Regality suits her.
Dianthus wears her coat of night as her personality. A largely unseen presence, but one that is quick. She prefers to do her work from the shadows, avoiding her fellows, and sticking to herself for the most part. She enjoys it, the feeling of her work paying off, and is deeply in love with the prospect of her kingdom. Loyal to the very end, Dianthus is happy to serve the kingdom as its Beta. Not the best or the highest position, but one she enjoys none the less. It's very nice, to feel like you are working to better your home and your people. She doesn't wish to ascend, and is happy to simply be Beta. She will leave the Alpha position to Rush.
This is not to say Dianthus doesn't have faults. The black coated femme isn't a wolf to trifle with. A blunt attitude has left her with few friends, and her isolation with fewer still. She works best alone, so she says, working to better her home in the only way she knows how. Sticking to the shadows. Once, she believed she would be a good spy. Once, she believed she would be Alpha. But she became Beta, and she has no need otherwise. Her skeptic nature has lended her some glares from the religious types, and her surly temper has left her with far more enemies than friends.
And her temper is hell itself. Easily riled when Dianthus is upset, she throws herself into situations with reckless abandon, a red film dropping over her eyes and pushing her to fight, to hurt, to make others feel the pain she has felt. Dianthus is harsh and overly critical of herself and others, often berating until she realizes what she is doing and stops. Her firm discipline has lead many greenhorns to be absolutely terrified of the dark woman, something she doesn't want as much as the next wolf.
→ history ←
The time when Dianthus was born was very late. The moon watched over the kingdom as her mother bore her new litter. Dianthus was welcomed into the world in the cold of a cold snap in the spring, her cries shaking the midnight air as her mother cleaned her and brought her to her belly to nurse and keep her warm. She found herself in a brood of siblings, brothers and one sister, who leaped and played about like fools, crying into the air while she sat beside her mother or on her own. She was a quiet one, rather odd among the other puppies of her year. She stuck to herself, never speaking, merely keeping a low profile for the most part. And in this way, she caught the eye of the higher ups. Specifically, the then Beta, Gladiolus. Dianthus was a puppy he kept an eye on as she grew, gaining slender limbs and a narrow body.
Then, when it was time to become a Greenhorn, Dianthus was pleasantly surprised to find herself in the company of the Beta. She was his new Greenhorn, he explained, someone who he would train to take his place when the time came. Dianthus knew what was expected of her, and she began to push herself to lead up to expectations. Gladiolus was a brutal but kind mentor, and he fostered a roaring spirit in the young wolf. The dark woman became a natural sight at the Beta's heels, calmly and casually following him on his day to day, never really speaking unless prompted. She was pushed to her very limits more times than she could count.
Then, just as she had graduated, she found out the most horrifying thing of all. Her mother and father, who had been so absent in her life since she was taken as Gladiolus's Greenhorn, had vanished. She scoured the territory, hoping to find their scents, and when she did, she followed them to the border. And oh, did she rage when she found out they had left. She threw herself into being a guardian, fighting any wolf she came across that bore the scents of rogues, or the other kingdoms. Her reckless behavior was quickly found by Gladiolus, who greatly scolded her for being so selfish as to fling herself into any fight she came across. Chided, the young female began to give back to the back as best she could.
She noticed Gladiolus getting frailer, and frailer, and frailer. He couldn't go on walks like he used to, and he stayed in the densite most of the time. She sat by his side as long as she could, for days at a time, until he finally faded due to a sickness he would have shaken off as a younger wolf. She mourned quietly, her head bowed over his still form until it was time to bury her old mentor. Then, she found herself thrust into a position she never thought she would fill so soon. Either way, Dianthus learned. And she now stands, the Beta of Riverbloom, ready to serve her packmates as best she can. Or die trying.
